I haven’t opened it up yet, but it looks super cute with the pink and black. And what’s with none of these sets having a regular pair of pliers??. I’ve not had any issue with any of the tools and after a year, I know they can be trusted. The case has served me well and kept the tools in place and secure without any cracking or damage. I still keep the tools in my truck but find myself using them for daily projects. I personally feel this set is a huge let down to anyone purchasing this set thinking they are getting the Craftsman pride that “dad” had in his same tools.

I have had quite a few Stanley hand tools in the past 35 years. Unfortunately, other friends and family members love them too. The included canvas carrying case keeps all your tools in one place for quick access. Used it to gift year old boys in Samaritans Purse Christmas Shoebox.

Though the Crescent and Channellock Pliers sets are the highest quality, neither includes the necessary household basics, like a hammer. The Crescent Professional Tool Set is great if you need to work on cars, lawnmowers, tractors, or other engines but won't do much to help you hang a picture frame. Instead of the magnetic bit driver that many other kits include, this one gives you a ratcheting screwdriver with a bit adapter. So you can use it for bolts or slap on a Torx, Phillips, or flathead to tackle an array of screws. It's not the top of the line but it works well enough. The two hex key sets are standard, offering metric and SAE sizing. All the tools are made from steel alloy and are chrome-plated to resist corrosion, and they feature non-slip handles for a more comfortable grip.
Levels are all about the stability of the bubble vial, and something this flimsy is going to have accuracy issues. I checked it against my 4-foot Sola level, a high-end pro brand, and it was 1/16 of an inch out of level over 9 inches. That translates to just over 5/16 of an inch across 4 feet—a lot for any kind of precision work. Given the quality of the other tools and the Anvil kit’s overall rock-bottom pricing, we’re willing to overlook this dud, especially given that most other kits don’t do any better. Beyond these tests, my years of construction experience told me a lot about the tools just by holding and examining them. This helps you make an informed decision about which product to trust and which to avoid. Another drawback to the WorkPro kit is that the tape measure is only 10 feet long. We expected it to be at least 12 feet, like the one in the Anvil kit. Pete has been working in the trades since high school, where he first developed a passion for woodworking.
